CAMMs : Meet the Trustees

Carole Charter (Chair of Trustees appointed 9th March 2020)
Trustee from 16th July 2009 Having worked for the Cambridge Building Society for over 20 years, I currently hold the Board position of Chief Commercial Officer. With a background in marketing and communications, as well as considerable line management experience, I offer the CAMMs management guidance and advice in these areas. Having lived or worked in Cambridge all my life, supporting CAMMs to provide local people with the meals they need and a friendly face is a really important way of being able to give something back to the community I know and love.

Alison Ough (Secretary appointed 9th March 2020)
After working in broadcasting and journalism, I taught languages for 20 years in the state sector. My previous voluntary activities include admin work for Women’s Aid and I currently help out with our local homeless breakfast club. It’s a privilege to be part of the CAMMs team and I am proud to support the charity’s mission to provide our clients with nutritious and affordable hot meals delivered by a friendly driver.

Anthony Millington (Treasurer appointed 29th March 2021)
I am a qualified Accountant, with 49 years accounting managerial experience in the Building Society sector, including 22 years at Board level. I am proud to have been involved with CAMMs for over 21 years, including periods as Secretary and Chair. As a not-for-profit charity it remains essential that our financial affairs are well managed and sound; and our services give maximum value to our clients.

Simon Doggett (Finance Committee Chair)
I am an Association of Accounting Technicians full member (MAAT) and employed by The Cambridge Building Society as Finance Supervisor. I have worked for the Society for over 27 years and my day to day duties include managing a variety of tasks that include: Bank Reconciliation, Treasury Back Office and Purchase Ledger. I am proud to be a trustee of a wonderful charity that truly supports the local community.

Dr John Taylor
I am a medical practitioner and Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist with twenty years management experience as Medical Director of a large organisation. I have been a trustee of CAMMS for over 14 years and as well as delivering meals, I am very proud that our staff provide social contact for our clients.

Dr Richard Ough
I am a medically qualified retired barrister with an MSc in Management. I have board level experience as a non-executive director with North Middlesex Hospital, Brent Special Academy Trust and as Provost of my local RCGP faculty. I am proud to have been a Trustee of CAMMs since 2014 and fully support its charitable objectives.

Murray Fraser
I am a qualified non-practising solicitor with over 30 years of legal practice including board level experience as a Chief Information Officer. I have recently retired from the profession to start a new career in legal technology at Xperate where I am the Head of Customer Success. I am proud to be a part of the CAMMS team that offers such vital support to the local community.
