Access to personal information
New Data Protection Regulations came into force on May 25th 2018 .
At Camms Meals on Wheels Ltd we act as a data controller when you provide us with your personal information and the information of your main Contact. We will use your personal information to open and administer your account for general business purposes, to check your dietary requirements, to check your emergency Contact information and to fulfil regulatory requirements.
We may pass your personal information to anyone you appoint to administer or operate your account, regulatory bodies, our external auditors, any individual or organisation that we contract or employ to provide goods or services and any other person or organisation where you have given your consent or if the law, public duty or our legitimate interests requires us to do so.
Data held by us about you, will be kept whilst you are a customer and will be held for a minimum of six years after your relationship with us as a customer has ceased. You can always let us know if information we hold about you has changed, so that we can make sure that it is updated.
If you are signing up to our services on behalf of another person, they must have authorised you to act on their behalf, to give us their personal information and to consent to our use of their personal information.
Any information that you pass to us with regards to any medical conditions, including diet related personal information, may be shared in confidence, with our staff and any other providers where Camms Meals on Wheels Ltd deems that it is important for Health and Safety, that these third parties are aware. If you would prefer that this should not happen on your behalf and as a part of our service, please ensure that you let us know and we will mark this on your personal information.
Under data protection laws you have the right to access your personal information held by us by applying to us in writing. You have the right to be ‘forgotten’ in certain circumstances however, this will only apply where we no longer have a legitimate or regulatory reason for processing your data.
